Bigorre Carburettor

Welcome to this website dedicated to carburetors.

A passionate mechanic as far back as I can remember, I've always loved knowing how these assemblies of parts work. From the era of simple mopeds to triple DCNF V6s or V8s, a carburetor is a complex component that could crudely be described today as a simple sprayer. This is not the case!

On these pages, you will find what you need to restore your carburetor, to bring your classic car back to life, make it reliable, and enjoy it.

I have always been in favor of restoring a
carburetor rather than replacing it. Why do something to a carburetor that we absolutely don't want to do with our classic cars?

Most of the time, an old carburetor
can be restored. Gasket surfaces can be rectified, as can bores. Bent throttle plates can be changed, as can bearings or shafts. Threads can be repaired. In short, we have been doing with our classics for a long time what is now called:

"sustainable development".

Of course, some carburetors can be completely deformed by a fire
or stored for 40 years on the ground in a damp barn. In these extreme cases,
restoration can be more expensive than a used carburetor that has already been
restored.

Don't feel capable of doing it yourself? No problem, contact us. We can take care of the restoration of your carburetor.

Rediscover the pleasure of going away for a weekend or on vacation with your classic car, or find your way back to VHC circuits, VHRS rallies, or historic hill climbs.

A classic car is meant to be driven!
