Weber 28-36 DCD

The Weber 28/36 DCD is a progressive two-barrel carburetor belonging to the Weber carburetor family used on many European automotive engines in the 1960s and 1970s. Designed to offer a good compromise between ease of use and performance, it was notably fitted to several Ford models of the era.

This carburetor can be found on vehicles such as the Ford Cortina 1500 GT, the Ford Corsair, and the Ford Anglia.

The Weber 28/36 DCD stands out with its piston-type accelerator pump, similar to that used on DCOE series carburetors, in contrast to the diaphragm systems found on other models. This design ensures a crisp throttle response and good long-term reliability.

It also features a base bolt pattern identical to Weber DGV / DGAV carburetors, allowing for its mounting or replacement on certain engine configurations.

Like other Weber carburetors, the 28/36 DCD has many adjustable elements such as jets, needle valves, floats, and adjustment screws, allowing for precise adaptation of the carburetion to the engine's characteristics.

The exploded view of this carburetor allows for easy identification of its various components and quick retrieval of the necessary part for the maintenance or restoration of this model.
